Forest School Practitioner
"My interest has always been in nature conservation. It was after having children myself that I explored Forest Schools and discovered my true passion"
Amy set up Wandering Wild in 2018 but it was a dream she had harboured for years. After graduating with a degree in Conservation Management she then went onto working with young adults with Autism in community garden's. Not until ten years later she trained with the global leaders in Forest School and qualified in 2017 as a level 3 practitioner.
She has also worked for the National Trust and The Environment Agency, and has many years of practical nature volunteering experience.
"The only thing that beats finding and growing your own food is teaching others how to do it for themselves"
David is our walking gardening encyclopedia! He has experience in setting up and teaching in Community gardening spaces and is working towards his foundation degree in Horticulture.
He also has a knack for being able to create amazing dishes out of the produce he grows (and forages) and knows lots of preserving techniques to make them last. He has many years experience in the bakery industry, which is the main reason the rest of the team can't shift the lbs- seriously, his caramelised onion fococcia is dangerous!
